Sisley Revitalizing Fortifying Serum

April 8, 2018

Anyone with thinning hair should really check out Sisley Revitalizing Fortifying Serum (£135), the core product from the new haircare collection launched by the luxury French botanical beauty company Sisley.

“Haircare is the new skincare” is the mantra behind the new range, and it highlights the fact that the environment and challenging life events can take their toll on hair health and beauty as well as on skin. In particular, stress, illness, pregnancy, or physical or emotional shocks can cause hair loss.

With its high concentration of minerals, vitamins, plant extracts, and proteins, Sisley Revitalizing Fortifying Serum is designed to boost energy in the scalp to fortify the hair. Tests carried out in partnership with the Centre Sabouraud (a medical centre specialising in skin and hair) have shown that this powerful serum stabilised hair loss.

The idea is to apply Sisley Revitalizing Fortifying Serum to dry or damp hair, section by section (you use three dropperfuls on the scalp in total), then massage it in with the fingertips, particularly in areas where hair is falling out. This intensive course of treatment is to be used every other day for one month, then twice weekly for two months for maintenance. Sisley Revitalizing Fortifying Serum results

As someone who has had a bit of thinning going on on one particular spot since giving birth to twins 14 years ago, I was keen to see if the serum could live up to Sisley’s claims for it. And I must say, I was extremely pleased to discover that it did. My thinning patch now has quite a few new hairs growing in it, and looks less like a thinning patch (see pic on the right – you can see the new hairs growing along my hair line which had begun to recede on one side).

Not only am I delighted with the regrowth (and I had only been using two dropperfuls, rather than the prescribed three, every two or three days for the month before that photo was taken), but I also think that my hair looks shinier, though I’m not convinced that the volume has been boosted – yet.

It’s a pricey product but I’d say that if you are troubled by thinning hair,  Sisley Revitalizing Fortifying Serum is a very good bet – the quick results have certainly impressed me.

Excellent product and highly recommended! I’m a big fan of the Sisley brand in general since 2007 when I tried the ‘Sisleya Eye & Lip contour cream’ which I love & use to this day. Therefore couldn’t wait to try the Revitalizing Fortifying Serum 🙂

Started using this from early May 2018 and noticed a slight reduction in hair loss. No re-growth though by the end of month 5 – September (I had a lot of thinning at the top of my head/crown area) until I incorporated a 2nd product into my routine (Divine Herbal Hair Oil) and alternated the two each night. I think the combination might have done the trick, or maybe just the added product itself prompted the regrowth…I’m not sure, but my hair is definitely thicker now and the shedding has completely stopped. Will continue to use both. Very happy with my results 🙂

Hi Helen, thanks for your comment. Great to hear about someone else’s positive results and that’s a good idea to alternate with another (less expensive!!) product. Hope to hear from you again. I’d be interested in your other recommendations!

Hi Alison. Sure thing! I haven’t used many other products that I can recommend but I’d say a good multi vitamin is worth taking too, such as Solgar or Lamberts – both are quality brands. Iron is important (for ladies especially) as we’re often low in iron, so a multi-vit with iron in would make good sense 🙂
