This seems to be the year of the mascara – and the latest one I’ve tried is Revlon Mega Multiplier Mascara (£9.99), which belongs in the new “tube technology” category of mascaras which beef up individual lashes by coating them with fibres and encasing them in tubes.
Revlon Mega Multiplier Mascara has been designed to deliver volume and length for an oversized lash look. It combines two microfibres – triangular and heart-shaped – which are intended to coat and plump each lash, and its 360 degree tubes lock the fibres in place so that the mascara should be smudge proof.
Added to that, Revlon Mega Multiplier Mascara has a polyurethane copolymer base which means that it provides the benefits of waterproof mascara – i.e., it shouldn’t budge – but it should be readily removed with just warm water.
So how did I find Revlon Mega Multiplier Mascara? Well, unlike the last tubing mascara I tried, I loved it. It certainly gave my lashes a boost – they looked more voluminous though I wouldn’t say that individually they looked fatter, or that the Blackest Black shade (it also comes in Blackened Brown) was as intense as I might have expected. The result was quite a natural, lengthened and voluminous look.
Unlike the last tubing mascara I tried which could be removed with just warm water, Revlon Mega Multiplier Mascara stayed in place and didn’t give me panda eyes – and it came off with my normal eye make-up remover without my having to rub my lashes into oblivion (I’m not really interested in removing eye make-up with water).
I’d say Revlon Mega Multiplier Mascara is definitely worth a shot. Have you tried it?
