L’Oréal recently launched its Paradise collection, a bijou collection of lash products in rose gold packaging. Now I can’t say I am too bothered how my mascara looks in its tube; I’m much more concerned with how well L’Oréal Paradise Extatic Mascara (£11.99) does its job.
I was particularly keen to try L’Oréal Paradise Extatic Mascara because it promises “intense volume, spectacular length and a feather-soft feel”, and I am always on the look-out for mascaras which can deliver on their volume and length claims. This mascara has a medium-sized brush – it reminded me of No7 Lash Impact – and quite a thick consistency (it is enriched with nourishing castor oil).
It turned out that L’Oréal Paradise Extatic Mascara does indeed fulfil its promise of volume, and it does so with minimum effort from the user. I found that even just one coat made a notable difference, and with two or more, it’s possible to build on the dramatic effect of this inky black mascara. There’s no clumping and L’Oréal Paradise Extatic Mascara feels weightless too. I wouldn’t say lengthening was one of its benefits on my eyelashes but I was sufficiently impressed by its volumising and curling capabilities to resolve to seek it out sometime when I find myself with an empty mascara drawer!
Have you tried L’Oréal Paradise Extatic Mascara? What did you think?
