L’Oréal Infallible Lip Paint

May 8, 2017

Every time you think you’ve got the liquid lipstick market sussed, along comes another new addition – and this time it’s L’Oréal Infallible Lip Paint (£6.99). Since I was sent these tubes of liquid colour, I have been wearing nothing else. I absolutely love them! And I am not an easy woman to convince when it comes to liquid lipsticks  ….

The L’Oréal Infallible Lip Paints are highly saturated liquid lipsticks which come in an impressive range of colours and two different finishes – rich lacquer and matte. Unlike some of the high-end equivalents, which are designed to be applied directly from the tube but can only really be done without mess if you use a brush, L’Oréal Infallible Lip Paint has an easy-to-use applicator which is shaped at the tip so that you don’t make a mess round the edge of your lips. It also helps that the colour doesn’t set while you’re applying it; in fact L’Oréal Infallible Lip Paint colour doesn’t set at all. You can purse your lips to your heart’s content!

I’ve tried two of the five beautiful shades of the lacquer version of L’Oréal Infallible Lip Paint, and have been delighted with how comfortable it feels, how glossy the finish is (it’s so nice to be sporting shiny lips again) and, especially, how gorgeous the colour is. (I adore the Darling Pink shade; the ideal reddish pink.) It lasts well on the lips too.

In addition to the five lacquers, there are six matte shades of L’Oréal Infallible Lip Paint, and I’m pleased (and, frankly, rather amazed) to report that they are just as comfortable as the lacquers, which surprised me as I have naturally dry lips and often find that matte lipsticks exacerbate the problem. As with the lacquers, the colour doesn’t set so there is none of that tight feeling that you so often get with matte liquid lipsticks. I especially like the Hollywood Beige shade, which looks like a pale summery coral on me ..
