Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Wear (£32) is a beautiful foundation. What do I mean by that? Well, if you have to ask, then you’ve never used one. It is a cut above your average base; one that feels lovely, is easy to apply, makes you look great, and gives you confidence in your appearance.
Those are just some of the reasons to love Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Wear. Another is that it comes in a fabulous range of shades – 40 in all. As is often the case with French skincare companies’ foundations, Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Wear caters for pale skins particularly well and doesn’t make them look jaundiced (unlike, say, Bobbi Brown whose foundation choice for my fair skin is very yellowy and unnatural-looking).
Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Wear goes on like a dream and immediately masks flaws and evens out tone without leaving the skin looking as if it’s wearing foundation. It’s a great, classy foundation which works very well for older complexions. Reviews by fans with problems such as psoriasis and dryness enthuse about it; I find that it’s great for keeping my combination skin feeling comfortable and not getting shiny. I haven’t tested the claim that it can last 24 hours, but it certainly has always lasted as long as I’ve wanted it to!
