I have just run out of Elizabeth Arden Retinol Ceramide Capsules Line Erasing Night Serum (£42 for 30) and I’m bereft! These latest capsules from Elizabeth Arden, the US beauty brand which introduced the concept of single-dose ceramide capsules way back in 1990, are terrific and have made a notable difference to my skin in just a month.
The new Elizabeth Arden Retinol Ceramide capsules combine the line-erasing benefits of Retinol with the moisture-boosting and skin barrier repair benefits of Ceramides. The aim of the capsules is to diminish the appearance of lines and wrinkles, and improve skin texture, tone and clarity to reveal dramatically younger-looking skin. By combining Ceramide with Retinol, the Elizabeth Arden Retinol Ceramide capsules also help to protect the skin from the dryness often associated with Retinol products.
I was impressed by these Elizabeth Arden Retinol Ceramide Capsules Line Erasing Night Serum from the very first time I used them. They instantly made fine lines look as if they had been ironed out, and they reduced the appearance of wrinkles. At the same time, the serum felt extremely nourishing and soothing. (So much so that I didn’t bother following with moisturiser.)
I’ve been a fan of Elizabeth Arden’s capsules for the last few years, as they are very handy for packing for trips, and the results have always been great. The capsule idea is perfect for Retinol which becomes less stable as soon as it’s exposed to air and light – so is less effective when packaged in a jar. The mono-dose capsule format allows for targeted and precise dosage while protecting the Retinol from light and air – the result being that in stability testing, Elizabeth Arden Retinol Ceramide capsules were found to be 76% more potent compared to their non-encapsulated equivalents.
The bottom line is: these are fab. Treat yourself!
