It’s a hat-trick! The third new Bourjois product I’ve tested is undoubtedly another winner: Bourjois Volume Reveal Mascara (£9.99) is one of the best mascaras I’ve tried in recent times.
Cleverly, this triangular-shaped tube has a magnifying mirror the length of one of its sides so you can apply it without having to find a mirror to stand in front of, or without a handheld mirror – ideal for when you’re on holiday or doing your make-up on the hoof.
As for the actual mascara itself, Bourjois Volume Reveal (which is also available in a waterproof version) is an inky, intense formula which provides shiny black lashes that last all day. But what makes this such a great product is the way it boosts lashes in even just the first coat, making them luscious and luxurious.
The Bourjois Volume Reveal Mascara brush has a double row of two different heights of bristles so that every lash is easily reached. Not only is this a terrific mascara for plumping up the lashes, it is also great for curling and lengthening them. I may have started to notice a little bit of smudging towards the end of the mascara’s shift, and also when I was overheating (e.g. while cooking!), but certainly not so much that I wouldn’t continue with this as my current mascara of choice.
