Well, I must say, I’m very impressed with the latest lipstick from Bourjois – Bourjois Rouge Fabuleux (£8.99). It could easily pass for a lipstick twice as expensive as it seems to be the perfect combination of great colour pay-off, serious staying power and comfort.
With a creamy, satin finish, Bourjois Rouge Fabuleux is enriched with a high concentration of saturated pigments for intense, radiant colour. It’s infused with Marula oil, to moisturise and condition lips – and it feels very light and fairly nourishing when it’s applied.
Like Lip Duo Sculpt, the two-tone lipsticks which the Parisian beauty brand launched in the summer, Bourjois Rouge Fabuleux has an unusual shaped stick – in this case teardrop-shaped – so you can create the impression of a slightly fuller pout as you apply it. And unlike Lip Duo Sculpt, it stays on the lips for hours yet doesn’t dry them out at all.
There are 12 shades of Bourjois Rouge Fabuleux – including an impressive array of nude variations and of reds. I’ve been using the 06 shade, Sleepink Beauty (not pictured), which looks like a dark, pinky nude in the tube and translates to a deep tea rose on my lips.
So, definitely a winner – fabuleux indeed!
